Flavor Profile
Famous for their personality-packed wines, the McPherson family is a favorite of top critic James Halliday (Australia’s answer to Robert Parker), who rates their estate an impressive four stars and writes that the quality of their wines “is unfailingly good.” The McPhersons’ wines are also BIG favorites of our customers, which is why we can’t wait for you to taste this thrilling Sauvignon Blanc.
Crafting a super-crisp Sauvignon is not always an easy task in warm Australia, but head winemaker Jo Nash (below) and estate proprietor Andrew McPherson have the expertise to make it happen. In fact, they were so impressed with how lovely and charming this Sauvignon turned out to be, Andrew named it after his wife, Nicole, who family and friends affectionately call “Pickles.”
Fear not—the wine doesn’t actually taste like pickles! But it is absolutely delicious, with expressive lemon, grapefruit and grassy-fresh aromas. The palate offers more tongue-tingling citrus flavors plus ripe guava and passion fruit notes.
Nicole loves to pair her namesake Sauvignon with grilled fish topped in a spicy salsa, but crisp salads, soft cheeses or even chicken will be tasty, too. However you plan to enjoy it, order soon to secure your share.
