Beyond the label

The picturesque, medieval town of Saint-Émilion is where you’ll find some of the finest (and most expensive) Bordeaux. Surrounding the region are four premium villages, each allowed to append their name to Saint-Émilion’s. Acclaimed critic Robert Parker says these ‘satellite’ wines are “for the true connoisseur” and it’s in Montagne that you’ll consistently find “some of the deepest, richest wines.” Here’s an impressive example from one of Bordeaux’s greatest vintages ever...

“The 2010 vintage for Bordeaux is recognized as legendary across the board” (wine-searcher.com). As time goes on, the wines are becoming increasingly difficult to find (especially at a friendly price), which is why we’re so excited for you to try Château Marquisat de Binet.

It marries satiny-smooth, plum-rich Merlot, with a dash of Cabernet for structure. The fruit was grown 35-year-old vines, which yielded grapes with concentrated flavors. One year in fine oak barrels completed the recipe, imparting toasty spice to the wine’s ripe plum and blackberry notes.

Feel free to enjoy this mature Bordeaux now—at over a decade old, it’s drinking beautifully. But if you want to save it for a special meal, it will cellar well for several more years, too.

Legendary vintage. Storied region. Superb quality. Secure your share of this fine 2010 Saint-Émilion while our limited cases last.
