Beyond the label

When Gus Kapiniaris (below) left Greece for the New World, he brought with him three things: a passion for winemaking, four generations of expertise and a profound belief in the significance of family. You’ll find all three in KAPA, his gorgeous California Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Kapiniaris family estate lies in Lodi, “one of the top wine regions in the country,” where winemakers “have quietly started producing some of the state’s best wines” (vinepair.com). The region’s warm sunny days and cool morning fog help extend grapes’ ‘hang time’ on the vine, which allows the fruit to develop ripe, fresh and concentrated flavors. When it’s time to work his magic in the winery, Gus enlists help from his son Frank, as well as their talented head winemaker, Franck Lambert.

KAPA brims with fruit-rich charm. Look forward to ripe blackberry, black currant and subtle licorice flavors. It's won multiple awards, including a gold medal from the San Francisco International Wine Competition

When you're ready to uncork, take inspiration from the Kapiniaris family’s roots and enjoy your bottle with Greek dishes like kofta kebabs (grilled lamb kebabs) or briam (a baked vegetable casserole).

The Kapiniaris family traveled halfway across the world and drew on generations of expertise to bring you this impressive California Cabernet. Order your share today.
