Beyond the label

“Portugal is one of the most dynamic wine-producing nations in the world today,” writes Wine Spectator. Taste the proof for yourself with Portinho do Côvo, a unique red blend from renowned winemaker Jaime Quendera.

Jaime is a past winner of the ‘Best Red Wine in the World’ trophy at Vinalies Internationales, so he’s no stranger to making world-class reds. For Portinho do Côvo, he selected the ripest grapes from seaside vineyards along the Península de Setúbal, located near the harbor of Port Côvo. Native Portuguese grape Castelão gives a ripe, succulent character, while international Syrah adds rich berry flavors.

Luscious, yet still elegant, Portinho do Côvo will shine with roasted red meats, hearty winter stews and more. It’s smooth enough to enjoy on its own, too. Judges at the San Francisco International Wine Competition loved it so much, they awarded it a gold medal.

Portugal’s rich reds remain something of an insider’s secret for now, but that’s quickly changing. Secure your case while our limited stocks last.
