We were thrilled when winemaker Alan Kennett (winner of the Jimmy Watson Trophy, Australia’s top wine prize) decided to make this limited-edition Reserve version from old, low-yielding vines grown in the renowned Clare Valley and McLaren Vale regions.

The gnarled heirlooms offer precious little fruit, but the grapes they do produce pack a serious punch of rich, concentrated flavor. Back in the winery, Alan ages the wine in fine oak barrels that contribute subtle vanilla flavors..
