Beyond the label

The Magpie is a limited-edition Napa Sauvignon Blanc named after the magpie, a bird with an eye for shiny, valuable objects. When our local expert, Kristina, swooped into the eastern hills of Napa Valley, she discovered a truly one-of-a-kind vineyard, and the rest is history...

Even more thrilling: The winemaker is world renowned and has a very impressive resume that features some of the top wineries in California and abroad. In exchange for keeping his name a secret, he agreed to share the wine at a friendlier price. (Great news for fans of fine Sauvignon!)

The precious vines behind this wine are over 50 years old—planted back in the 1970s at 650 feet above sea level, on well-drained loamy soils that are perfectly suited to producing the most stunning Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was crafted with an eye on capturing the natural vibrant and fresh flavors of Sauvignon Blanc from this special vineyard. That means a slow, cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks to retain the youthful fresh flavors of the grapes grown on these glorious old vines.

Like the magpie, we’ll keep the secret location to ourselves, but are more than pleased to share the delicious treasure with you. Made in the Bordeaux style, it's wonderfully ripe and bursting with fruit flavor. Look forward to leap-from-the-glass aromas of bright citrus and peach, with flavors of pink grapefruit, zesty lime, juicy nectarine and more soaring across your palate.

Let your imagination fly as you enjoy this fresh white on its own or alongside fresh seafood, grilled fish or salads.
